French Caldwell is a vice president in Gartner Research, where he leads governance, risk and compliance research. Mr. Caldwell also writes and presents on knowledge management. His research includes analysis of the impact of regulatory developments on IT, compliance technologies, corporate governance, enterprise and IT risk management, and knowledge management.

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Caldwell was the director of knowledge services in a global consulting practice, where he worked with strategic clients, including the Central Intelligence Agency and the Department of Defense. Mr. Caldwell completed a career as a nuclear submarine officer, and he has directed special congressional projects for the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of Defense.

Michael Rasmussen is the foremost authority in understanding Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Michael was a Vice President and top analyst at Forrester Research, Inc. Before Forrester, he led the risk consulting practice at a professional services firm in the Midwest. Earlier, his career included industry experience in healthcare as well as manufacturing.
